Just a few more days!

Well everyone, Its almost that time of year again! We got less then a week to go till our Grand Opening! I just wanted to remind everyone that first and foremost we are here to have fun and to come together as a community. I also want to reassure everyone that we will keep this as simple and easy as possible for everyone and any problems, questions or even comments please feel free to send them my way and I will try and get it all sorted as soon as possible.

The Rock Creek Directory

Discover Rock Creek publishes a directory of businesses that do business in Rock Creek.
As vendors at the Rock Creek Market, you can advertise in the directory for $25. This year there will be a number of pictures of last years Market making it excellent advertising for expanding your business. Considering that a small ad in the yellow pages can set you back $250 (or more) this is a great value for promoting your local business.

and up to 5 lines of text to include a description, your email and website address.

Market Safe Course

From Ann Rexin:

Good morning! I spoke with Heather ( facilitator for Market safe course on April 18) she is saying that a unit of the course deals with vendors and managers, another unit looks after the hygiene- setting up a hand washing station if you are serving food samples, please bring a bagged lunch, as we will work right through. I'll provide tea/coffee. Your cost is $20, this covers your booklet ( $15), and your exam and certificate($5), the Rock Creek Market will cover the rest($200). It starts at 11am sharp, and will be finished at 4pm.
Sounds like a fun day...lots of interaction. She is doing another one the following week elsewhere, starting to get busy....is not charging us her travel time nor gas.

The Rock Creek Market News Letter April1, 2012

The Rock Creek market invites vendors to a Farm Market Food Safe course, April 18, 2012 11:00am to 4:00pm at the Kettle River Wildlife Hall in Rock Creek. Click Here for more information about why you as a vendor should take Market Safe!
This certification course is $20.00 for members of the Market and $50.00 for non-members.
Please bring a bagged lunch, tea and coffee will be provided.

The Rock Creek market is under new management and will operate on the same site as last year - 1585 Victoria Street, Rock Creek, BC, in the Pumpkin patch beside Rags, Relics and Rutebagas. The Market will open May 5th (if there is no snow).
